Capaign Notes Recap

All previous session notes till before the Hopprets

Elsodan, the 1st of Harvest, Year 199 of Thetus.

Aranar gathers with the clan in order to discuss the coming year. Stories are told of what was happening this week, 200 years ago. How the Mandoa assisted the locals and the displaced while the War of the Brothers reached its climactic conclusion, resulting in the Kingdom of Anthus. Aranar mentions entering Ironmaw in order to try and get some higher end contracts to see if the politics of power has changed.

Otodan, the 17th of Ralara, Year 200 of Ilais.

Aranar meets with Kizat, and the Brightwaters. A contract was hammered out for Aranar to escort/help Thryn and Anya to Kragburr.

Tizdan, 22nd of Ralara, Year 200 of Ilais

After observing a solar eclipse, where Va briefly made its appearance in front of the sun, the small party sets off.

Tizdan, 8th of Telt, Year 200 of Ilais

The party arrives in Kragburr with an evening star clearly visible in the sky before any others poke their heads out. What should have been under 20 days of travel took 2 weeks, but training and packing two fresh faced adventurers takes its time.

Thaaradan, 9th of Telt, Year 200 of Ilais

What should have been a restful time in Kragburr, waiting for the academy delegation is cut short when Topaz (helping Sydney quite a lot) requests the party investigate what happened to a caravan that Kola was leading. After some deliberation, the party found a local ranger by the name of Krinor. Found is a strong word as the party entered the tavern Krinor frequents just to see the halfling attempt to break an adversaries jaw. After shopping in Kragburr, where Aranar acquired an interesting arrowhead, the party rested for the night.

Setting out on the 10th of Telt, the party travelled out to the location of the caravan, and reached the caravan on the 12th. It was quickly deduced that an ambush took place, however there were not enough bodies to account for the entire caravan. Moving further into the woods, and after being attacked by wolves that appeared to have scales, talons, and could breathe a non-insignificant amount of fire, the party released Krinor from their services.

After resting the night, Thryn the last on watch noticed a star stay in the sky long into the morning after the rest had disappeared, hopefully a good sign.

Approaching the location bodies had seemed to be dragged to, the party dodged a patrol of The Red Kobolds, and then took out the two sentries posted at the entrance. After clearing the majority of the compound where Anya acquired a glowing red rock, the party made it to the innermost sanctum.

Kobolds and a Lizardfolk were deep in a ritual in a chamber that was carved deeply with depictions of dragons, and pulling what life was left in their victims during it. The party charged in and would have been in over their heads if it wasn’t for the arrival of Kola. Unfortunately during this event, Aranar was put into a deep trance and a force field was put around them.

The party, now including Kola decided to rest for the night, and on the 14th, went searching for the rest of Kola’s compatriots. Thryn acquired a dagger, imbued with magical properties. After finding the rest of Kola’s party, the group returned to Aranar, and after another night Aranar was freed from this magic.

Setting out on the 15th, the party managed to make it back to Kragburr without much issue, arriving on the 17th

Thoroughly exhausted, the party rests for a week, watching the eclipse of Vo on the 18th of Telt.

Nylocdan, 30th of Telt, Year 200 of Ilais

After resting up from their adventure, they are joined in Kragburr by Yuboren, and Thakhin. After a night’s rest, they set off to the location which is the target of Yuboren’s research. The group reaches it after about 5 days’ travel. The party endures narrowly escaping death in multiple hijinks, including Anya almost blowing herself up and Thryn almost getting dissolved in acid, while Aranar almost has a heart attack, the crystal skull is retrieved and a rival party to Yuboren is fought off. After 5 day’s travel back, the party rests for a week before setting off back to Ironmaw.

Nyclodan, 1st of Dalta, Year 200 of Ilais

Travelling to the crossroads.

After a well-deserved rest, the party heads to the docks to see if a boat is leaving for Ironmaw (City), when a scene is seen of a pair of twins trying to convince Topaz that their boat will be one of the fastest way of getting to Ironmaw, cutting down a multi week overland trip to just over a week. The party agrees to join Topaz and the twins down to Ironmaw, using a newly-developed propulsion technology made by the twins that requires no manual rowing. After 5 days’ travel, the party are travelling over a flat lake as part of this boat trip, as they all notice their reflections have changed somewhat, with new scars and lines that weren’t there when they set off. After fending off an attack from a few raiders, plying the trade route, the party takes a few more days before getting to the crossroads of Ironmaw, and bid Topaz farewell.
