Return To Ironmaw

Bricks *can* be subtle

Negydan, 8th of Bixk, year 200 of Ilais

Now Safely returned to Maerin, the party ties up what loose ends they have. Speaking to Lukas and returning his dearly departed’s necklace, and of course Anya and Thryn rousing up the tavern with the tales of their adventure, many of whom were surprised to be seeing their faces again at all.

After suitably impressing the locals, the party goes to settle down for the night, but Aranar stops before entering his room and says quietly to his two companions “Rook. My name is Aranar Rook. It is an honour to fight by both your sides”. Before he could get the door closed behind him however Anya rushes up to Aranar and quite muffled manages to let out, into the side of Aranar’s plate “It is an honour to fight along your side too”.

Once good-byes have been said in Maerin, the party head back to Ironmaw.

18 days of travel later

Once arrived at Ironmaw, post-adventure maintenance begins. Gold is collected from the Mulrows with a chat, Anya gets her staff made into a Naginata. Aranar finds an alchemist called “200 years of potions” and commissions a set up to be made for black powder production. In their down time Aranar camps outside the city and maintains his equipment, Thryn bonds more with Ami and decides on how they want to set up their many daggers, and Anya does research into the portal.

While Aranar is adjusting his helmet he notices there is increased pressure around their hairline, and occasionally it thuds with a sharper impact against his skull that would be normal.

Upon the conclusion of a week long sabbatical and freshly rested, Aranar returns into Ironmaw to find the others to find a new journey. After navigating a “thanks dad” situation with all the finesse of a brick, and a small incident involving a purple menace being pulled out of a bag of dried apricots that most certainly did not belong to Thryn until after the event the party went off for drinks.

Inside the dimly lit din of what passes for a pub for the young magic wielders slogging their way through the university, the party hatches a plan to go to the Isle of the Pointed Spear to find what Thryn’s dagger is pointing to.

After finding a shop to assess a set of goggles found at Vermeillon, the party run into an old face they haven’t seen since Ironmaw, Thakhin. After explaining how Euborren got him kicked out of the University, he’s now working as an assistant in his mother’s shop. Getting the goggles assessed, they are revealed to be darkvision goggles. After browsing and not buying anything, the party head to the docks and book work on a ship to the Isle of the pointed spear.
